A story of seagull picking up Gizmo the Chihuahua going viral on the Internet and two women who were on holiday in Benidorm took advantage of the incident and got a tattoo of seagull and gizmo on their ankle.
Natalie Moran and Eve Hanson from Pontefract West Yorkshire decided to have tattoos because they had seen memes and a story of a seagull picking up a chihuahua all over the Internet.
One got the chihuahua while the other got the seagull.
Natalie told LADbible: “Me and my friend Eve are currently on holiday in Benidorm. All we’ve seen all over Facebook is memes and a story of a seagull picking up a chihuahua.”
“After about 11 pints each sitting at the bar all day, we then decided to join in on the hype and go that bit extra and got the tattoos.”
“We got them on our ankles. I got the chihuahua, Eve got the seagull.”
“It will be an unforgettable holiday and we have the tattoos to prove it.”
Gizmo is actually a Chihuahua mix breed. The tiny dog was outside a house in Devon, where she lived with her owner, Becca Hill. According to Becca’s partner, a seagull took him from there.
Becca told Devon Live: It carried Gizmo a fairway as we couldn’t see him anymore. I have no idea if he was dropped or where he is now.”
On Social media, she wrote: “Please, please, please, anyone finds a chihuahua he’s mine, a seagull took him from my garden.”
“Have a really upset six-year-old missing her dog.”
Regarding the incident, RSPCA said: “Our hearts go out to Gizmo’s family and we hope he is found soon and is OK.”
“This must be extremely upsetting for the dog’s owner.”
“Fortunately these types of incidents are very rare and not typical gull behavior.”
