Gabby Petito’s grieving mom broke her silence as she addressed Brian Laundrie in her first Twitter post ever.
Days ago, Gabby Petito’s parents and step-parents were seen in tears as they paid a tribute to the 22-year-old van-life girl during their first press conference since Gabby’s body was discovered.
Now, the young lady’s biological mother, Nichole Schmidt, broke her silence and demanded Brian Laundrie turn himself in.
“Mama bear is getting angry! Turn yourself in! 🤬 @josephpetito agrees. #justiceforgabby #americasdaughter,” Schmidt tweeted shortly after creating her Twitter account.
Meanwhile, her bio page reads: “A mom on a mission, the fight for change and prevention will never end! My Gabby will never be forgotten!”
In the hours following her first post on Twitter, thousands of people liked and shared the heartbroken mom’s message.
Taking to Twitter to pay a tribute to Gabby was also her step-mom, Tara Petito, who wrote:
“Gabby I will love you to the moon and back always and forever ❤️❤️❤️ #gabbypetito #justiceforgabby”
The touching posts come as the hunt for Brian Laundrie, who remains a person of interest, deepens. Urging the 23-year-old to turn himself in and spill the truth was also Gabby Petito’s family lawyer who slammed the Laundrie family for refusing to cooperate with the authorities.
“The Laundries did not help us find Gabby. They sure aren’t going to help us find Brian. For Brian, we’re asking you to turn yourself in to the FBI or the nearest law enforcement organization,” attorney Richard Stafford said.
Meanwhile, the Laundries insist that they are “concerned” about Brian and that they remain “hopeful” that he will be found alive.
“They are concerned but hopeful that he is found alive,” Laundrie family lawyer Steve Bertolino said in an interview with PEOPLE.
