Game of Thrones fans are calling on HBO to remake its final season after the latest episode of the show left them horribly disappointed.
The abrupt character turn of Daenerys Targaryen (Spoiler Alert) as seen in the fifth episode, The Bells, has divided the internet.
While half of the viewers are hailing the recent installment a great plot twist, the other half sees no sense in the abrupt change in “one of the shows most beloved and iconic characters.”
“They made her worst fear come true, the worst possible ending for one of the shows most beloved and iconic characters,” a fan tweeted.
“They made her the abusive father she’s tried so fucking hard to not be her entire life. Fucking terrible. Absolute trash. You deserved better.”

Some die-hard fans have even started a petition on change.org, urging HBO to remake the whole of season eight.
Started by Dylan D, the online petition asks HBO to get the show’s final season rewritten by ‘competent writers’ in place of show runners D. B. Weiss and David Benioff.
Dylan wrote with the petition: “David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e., the books) to fall back on.
“This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”
Though it seems a great idea, we all know it won’t be happening.
Well, let’s be honest. HBO has spent a whopping $90 million on the final season of the fantasy series, which comes around to $15 million per episode.
And there’s no way, the producers will spend such an astronomical amount again.
Even if it happens by any chance, the show has already been ruined for most of the fans. Still, we can’t reach any conclusion before seeing what the show holds in its final episode.
After all, this is Game of Thrones we’re talking about!
