You see a suitcase at an airport, full of suspicious bags containing white powder, what would be your first guess? Drugs, right?

Being a responsible citizen, you’ll report the bag to the authorities and wait for getting some media coverage for being a part of one of the greatest drug busts in history.

You can absolutely get famous that way only if the material in the suitcase is actually classified as drugs and not some stuff to make cakes.

A cleaning staff at Gatwick Airport did exactly what responsible citizens are supposed to do by calling the police upon noticing a suspicious suitcase in the airport.

Concerned authorities made it to the scene and seized the reported bag.

But the story turned upside down when the lab tests on the substance found in the bag came negative for drugs. The lab confirmed that it was nothing but vegan cake mix.

Following the hilarious ‘drug bust,’ the British Transport Police took it to Twitter to guide people in a jolly way.

“Huge drugs bust at Gatwick airport,” they wrote in a tweet. “In collaboration with the Home Office, powders tested and discovered to be vegan cake ingredients.

“Please label your foods and bring samples of cakes next time you visit.”

The shipment was traced back to a vegan restaurant Purezza, in Brighton, East Sussex.

A representative for the restaurant said: “So, we had quite an eventful time transporting some of our ingredients today.

“Thanks for going easy on us guys. A slab of cake all round is in order when you’re next in Brighton.”

The police took no legal action against the restaurant saying that not labeling food properly isn’t a crime enough to put people behind bars.

A spokesperson for the police said: “We received a report at 1.34pm (on Wednesday). Cleaners found a bag contained many bags in the first-class compartment of a train.

“Obviously it was tested and found to be exactly what it says in the tweet. We spoke with the owner and there were no concerns.”
