Have you? It’s just the human gestures that make us believe in God. Recently, for some firefighter, a Sikh community was nothing short of a godly figure as they provided them with shelter and food.
Sydney firefighters have thanked the Sikh community for giving shelter in their home and offering them home-cooked food after they bravely fought to save the suburban homes.
A bushfire took a severe turn in Sydney’s upper north shore on Tuesday afternoon. When the firefighters were trying to put out the fire blaze, flame retardant was dropped from the sky.
Though the fire was brought under control within an hour and without any civilian injury, one of the firefighters got his arm fractured.
Several homes were damaged due to the fire, and firefighters were completely exhausted after the rescue mission. Their efforts were greatly applauded by the civilians as right after the strenuous work, they were treated with gratitude by the Sikh community.
Dozens of Sikh locals from the Turramurra’s Sikh Temple gathered and brought food and water to the firefighters as well residents before heading towards their worship place.
After taming the fire, the Hornsby Rural Fire Brigade shared a photo of their firefighters enjoying the well-deserving food from the generous people from the Sikh temple.
They thanked the Guru Nanak Gurudwara Turramurra Sikh Temple for providing meals for the hungry firefighters. The Facebook post soon went viral, and everyone appreciated the generosity of the Sikh people.
Even the local families were involved in dozing off the fire. According to reports, families were using a hose and whatever they could find to tame the situation.
One of the civilians said that the fire was scary, and when their backyard caught fire, it seemed like the entire street was going to catch fire, and they were hell scared.
Thanks to the firefighters and active civilians who came into action promptly.
