George W Bush and his wife Laura surprised their followers with an adorable family picture after welcoming granddaughter Cora Georgia into their family.
The former president and his wife beamed with joy as they posed side by side for a photo with “healthy and adorable” baby Georgia, their fourth grandchild.
Little Georgia was born to Barbara Bush and Craig Coyne in Kennebunkport, Maine, on September 27.
“With full hearts, @laurawbush and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter,” George W. Bush wrote as he shared the photo of him, Laura, and Georgia on social media.
“Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine – not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig were married. Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful.”
The former president’s message appeared to reflect his and his wife’s official statement that was released last week after the birth of their granddaughter.
The touching picture follows shortly after Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara’s twin sister, shared a photo of Barbara and Craig caressing baby Georgia in hospital shortly after her birth.
In the family snap, Barbara is seen lying in a hospital bed and holding onto her newborn daughter while dad Craig gazes at his daughter with tears in his eyes.
In another family photo, Jenna is seen cradling her sister while the mother is sitting down and holding her little girl in her arms.
In the third photo, Hager is seen cradling little Georgia in her arms while sitting on a sofa and smiling at the camera.
Congratulations to the entire family!
