Netflix revealed that the Final Film Batch by Studio Ghibli has finally added to the platform.
It announced earlier that 21 movies were being released sporadically over the course of multiple weeks, which has delighted many of its fans across the world.
The first few releases were among the most popular; however, the last batch also contains some of the cult favorites.
The last batch of the film includes Ponyo, Howl’s Moving Castle, Pom Poko, When Marnie Was There, The Wind Rise. Whisper of the Heart, and From Up on Poppy Hill.
In February, Netflix added movies including Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso, Only Yesterday, Tales from Earthsea, and Ocean Waves.
Additionally, in the March beginning we saw, The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya, My Neighbors The Yamadas, Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, The Cat Returns, and Arrietty.
The last set of films could not have been released in a better time. People now can enjoy hours of entertainment while being cooped inside.
The studio is still working on getting the complete rights of the movie, Grave of the Fireflies, a 1988 classic. While you have to find some other source to watch that movie, the studio has sorted the rest of the catalog for you.
Additionally, if you also love the music of these movies, then there is some good news for you.
Music of almost all 21 Studio Ghibli has been uploaded to popular music streaming services such as Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
Along with that, the studio has also released ‘image albums’- containing the music inspired by the extensive movies it has produced.
Music editor from Apple said music has also been an important aspect for Ghibli studio to alleviate the drama and whimsy of its popular animated movies.
