Stars of the brilliant Three Cornetto Trilogy movies, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are set to make a comeback to the show business in a new series about ghost hunters called Truth Seekers.
The series will be a comedy-horror flick which brings the duo back again as a team of paranormal activity investigators.
According to media company Variety, the show will be released on Amazon Prime Video, with the production company Stolen Pictures, owned by Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.
The show’s description says that Frost’s character Gus teams up with Pegg’s character Dave and together they bring out the truth about paranormal activities throughout the United Kingdom.
With their adventures taking them to hasted hospitals, bunkers and churches, etc. the duo use their brilliant gadgets and share these amazing adventures on their online website.
As the show progresses, the characters will face unseen dangers, some which are a threat to the entire population of the world. Additional cast members will be announced sometime soon.
Nick Frost says he is extremely happy to see the joint venture between Stolen Pictures and Amazon Prime Video, adding that the show will be a crazy ride of horror and comedy. Pegg also joined in the debate, saying that this is a great time to be alive in this age of television.
The show will consist of eight episodes, each of which will be half and hour long with Richard Webb as its producer. Pegg and Frost are also co-writing the series with James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders.
Filming is set to start in the month of September. Georgia Brown, European Amazon originals director, says that they are thrilled to be working for Truth Seekers with such a major British talents like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost leading the next amazing series on Amazon Prime.
