Recently, a video got viral where a fisherman had hooked a long bronze whaler shark off his sit-on-top kayak at Kawakawa Bay.
This seems impossible for the first time to read this but the video will prove that it is actually true. The fisherman was from New Zealand and the whaler shark was 13ft long and giant.

The fisherman at the age of 41 emerged with the most dramatic “jaws” moment. It left the fisherman in shock after realizing that the gigantic mammal was straight on his sit-on-top Kayak.
The mammal dragged along 500 meters within a span of 15 minutes. Imagine how clueless the fisherman, James Brown would have been at that moment. James had his GoPro mounted on his head that made him record the entire scene.
The incident took place on a warm day during the early morning hours. The fisherman was happily enjoying the tranquility of waters. Although, James mostly likes to do small fishing, like 7kg braid on the light rod.
He was shocked to witness the small rod started getting dragged down towards the deep water. He was expecting a solid kingfish that turned out to be something more giant that could never even expect.
The video that was recorded by GoPro will help you witness the scene of what exactly happened. The creature was so giant that it easily hauled at its top speed.
The bronze whaler shark is already known to be a fast swimmer and a big predator. The creature was as big as the fisherman’s Kayak.
James stated that at the time of his winding up, he felt the weight of around a hundred kilos. He told that the weight gain was real quick. He also claimed that the creature dragged him for 500 meters. The fisherman is really very brave.
