A teenage girl from Valparaiso, Indiana, has come up with perfect revenge after she was fat-shamed by rude customers at a local bakery.
As 20-year-old Vega Blossom experienced numerous times in her life, people often throw nasty comments right at her face without even knowing the first thing about her.
While Blossom is used to being fat-shamed, one incident pushed her to the edge and made her stand up for herself and get back at her bullies.
It was Easter 2018 when then-19-year-old Vega was in her favorite bakery called Designer Desserts. As the teen was waiting in the line to be served, she overheard an older woman behind her say: “Let’s hope this fat bitch doesn’t buy all the cupcakes!”
“When I heard the nasty things the women said, I honestly wanted to cry. It really hurt my feelings,” Blossom recalled.
Despite her self-esteem receiving a major blow, Vega decided she wouldn’t let the bullies get away unpunished.
“How could these grown women be so mean to someone they’ve never met, let alone talked to,” Vega added. “But I swallowed the hurt and thought of the best possible thing I could do back to them that wasn’t horrible, but that would teach them a lesson about respecting others.”
And so, the girl came up with a plan for sweet revenge. When it was Vega’s turn to make a purchase, the 19-year-old cashed out $54 and bought all 20 of the remaining cupcakes, leaving nothing behind for the rude women.
After finishing her purchase, Blossom was about to leave the bakery but not before confronting the bullies. As she was walking out, she “looked the pair straight in the eye and asked ‘could you please open the door for me? My hands are a bit full.’”
“Reluctantly, one woman held the door open before following me outside,” Vega explained.
Later on, the teen shared her story on Facebook where she received plenty of support and positive feedback.
“Hopefully, this was a lesson in treating others kindly, and maybe a lesson in karma as well. I think, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. I am NOT sorry for taking all of the cupcakes,” Blossom wrote.
