The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson took his time out from his busy schedule to write a heartwarming letter to a seven-year-old girl who canceled her birthday party twice due to coronavirus.
Seven-year-old Josephine from Stubbington in Hampshire wrote a letter to the Prime Minister which was shared by Locks Heath Cricket Club on Twitter.
Josephine wrote that she’s staying at her home and her parents might have to cancel her birthday party due to the coronavirus outbreak.
She said she is not upset because she wants everybody to be ok
Josephine told the PM to keep working hard to keep us all well and then asked the PM: “Are you remembering to wash your hands?”
The Prime Minister then decided to send a reply as he wrote: “Happy Birthday! I am glad to hear you are staying at home though I am sorry to hear about your party.”
“We have all got to do our bit to protect the NHS and save lives, and that is exactly what you are doing, so well done. You are setting a great example.”
He told Josephine once it is over, she can have her party with her friends.
He also replied to Josephine’s cheeky question as he wrote: “In answer to your question – I’m regularly washing my hands with soap and water for 20 seconds: the time it takes to sing Happy Birthday twice!”
Johnson tweeted his letter and praised Josephine for setting a great example by canceling her birthday party amid coronavirus crisis.
He wrote on his Twitter: “Together we can beat this. In the meantime let’s all wish her happy birthday (twice) whilst washing our hands #BelikeJosephine #StayHomeSaveLives.”
The adorable letter of the little girl and the PM’s reply to the letter have now gone viral on the Internet.
Internet users also praised the little girl for being so mature and canceling her party twice amid coronavirus outbreak.
