An 8-year-old girl dressed as Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty met the actual Gritty at a hockey game.

Cailin, who was wearing a handmade costume made by her mother Patty Ryan, met the actual Gritty at the game and instantly fell in love with him.
Cailin Ryan and Gritty’s adorable dance and interaction left everyone in awe after a video of them was posted online.
Cailin’s mother Patty Ryan told Good Morning America: “She loves the Flyers and she saw Gritty and instantly fell in love with him. I love [the video] because just for an entire year all my daughter has asked to do was meet Gritty.”
Rebecca Werez filmed the adorable moment Cailin and Gritty interacted and danced together. She shared the video on Twitter with the caption: ‘This is the purest thing I’ve ever seen goodnight @GrittyNHL’.
The video instantly went viral and received thousands of likes and comments. One user wrote: ‘She must be a great dancer. That is so lovely’.
Another user said: ‘This is what makes sports great, the mascots are for the kids, thanks for giving that child a good memory flyers.’
The third one wrote: ‘How sweet this is! Mascots are great for ALL teams. My granddaughter loves the Red Sox and Husky mascots while another added: ‘I’m sure Gritty was moved by this, yes he gets a lot of recognition and has garnered quite a bit of love from hockey fan now but having a kid come dressed as him must be a new high.’
Major sports outlets shared the adorable video. Rebecca, who filmed the video, said: “The Flyers were the first to share it and I didn’t think much of it. Then my phone started blowing up. It was a special, fun little moment.”
