The teenage girl whose drink was allegedly spiked recalled the harrowing incident as she shared a warning.
18-year-old Millie Taplin from Southend, England, went viral after her mother had shared photos of her fighting for her life after the teen’s drink was allegedly spiked at a local bar.
The girl now spoke out on This Morning to share a warning and provide additional information about the harrowing night she was rushed to the hospital.
“I would love to go back out, I liked the atmosphere, but now it’s a bit more of a panic feeling. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy myself because I would constantly be on edge thinking whose going near my drink which is a shame,” Millie said.
“It’s really hard, there should be something to be able to stop it all but there’s never going to be something to stop it.
“I cannot stress enough how careful you really have to be, I don’t even know how much more careful you can be.”
The 18-year-old’s situation went viral after her mother had shared photos in which the teen is seen with her jaw locked and her hands clenched.
“I went outside because I started to feel really hot and sick had I just thought I had too much to drink it wasn’t until I was actually sick my eyes went blurry,” she added.
“I said to my friends I think I’ve been spiked and they said no you’re fine you’re just panicking and I said no I’ve been spiked.”
While Millie insists she tried to be careful, she admitted she had accepted two drinks from a stranger she was talking to at the bar.
“We hear a lot about it, but you don’t think it’s veer going to happen, you think you’re being careful and doing everything you can, but,” the 18-year-old expressed.
“There was a drink I had taken from someone else, which could be the drink, but I think it’s hard, it’s hard to pinpoint.”
As of this writing, the case remains under investigation, whereas the police are allegedly looking for the person Millie was talking to at the bar before she got sick.
