A furious mother claims that her 13-year-old daughter has been accused of assault against an adult for throwing Haribo at a school teacher and she got suspended from the school for that.
Katie Freeman who is 13 years old threw a Haribo gummy bear at the deputy’s head in the chest on a need fun day.
The Need fun day is celebrated as a fun day where the children are allowed to throw wet sponges at the staff members.
The 52 years old mother thinks that the school has just overreacted by suspending Katie from the school and also isolating her from the lessons and her ski trip.
The principal of the school wrote in a letter that Katie was suspended for physical assault against an adult by throwing gummy bear at the teacher.
Sue claims that though they will get the refund of 850 Euros for the ski trip what about the money they spent on purchasing the ski gear and how is it fair to kick the child out of the trip.
She also claimed that she is furious and disappointed in the education system today.
After this incident, the school has asked Katie to come and attend the attitude and behavior classes.
The mother said that she is very disappointed and disgusted at the school as she has never been called in the school for any bad behavior from Katie’s side.
The mother is furious about the whole incident and does not appreciate the school for this. After all, it is about a 13-year-old kid and the school should think before filing such a big case against the girl.
The mother thinks that the education system has changed so much and the schools have been taking such drastic measures even on the small things that happen around.
