5-Year-Old Girl Passed Away After Hiding In A Hot Car While Playing


A young girl has tragically passed away after hiding in a scorching car in the middle of the day while playing outside.

5-year-old Natasha Gorjup from Newcastle, Australia, was found unconscious by her father Aloiz after she snuck into his car as it was more than 30°C outside.

As the heartbroken father revealed, he believed the girl was playing in their garden while he was tending to his sick wife.

After not seeing or getting any response from little Natasha, however, the father got worried and started looking for her only to find her unconscious at the back of his car.

The paramedics have immediately airlifted the 5-year-old to a hospital and placed her in an induced coma. Sadly, the girl has passed away just days later.

“I opened the door and she was leaning against the door and I thought she was crying and I said, ‘Are you ­alright, Tash?’ and I got no ­response,” Mr. Gorjup said in an interview with Newcastle News.

“I shook her and she was just all limp and so I picked her up and brought her in. I called out to my wife and put her on the floor and I rang up the ambos straight away. It was all just a horrible mistake, an accident.”

According to the authorities, several ambulances have arrived at the scene of the incident whereas the paramedics airlifted the girl to John Hunter Hospital after attempting CPR.

While the temperatures outside were over 30°C that day, the reports have suggested that temperatures inside the car could reach up to 40°C.

The incident followed just days after two toddlers have passed away in a hot car where they were left by their mother, 27-year-old Kerri-Ann Conley. After her children’s deaths, Conley was charged with murder due to recklessness and child neglect resulting in death.
