Losing a parent is the hardest pain one can feel.
The sorrow and grief torture the heart not just for days or weeks or months, but it becomes a part of life and hurts for years and years to come.
It was just the same for this girl as well who had lost her father. While her father was not alive anymore, she wanted to feel his presence and so she started messaging her father every day in a hope of feeling his presence around.
She kept texting his number, each and every day, telling her father how she was and how her life has been growing. She updated her father with everything going on in her life so that she could know he is not missing out on anything.
What she was not aware of was that her father’s number had been given to someone else and he has been getting all her messages for the last 4 years.
In a Facebook post-Chastity Patterson from Newport, Arkansas wrote “I don’t forget to text my late father any day.
I update him about my life and text him everything sweet I can but today I got a reminder that it is time to let him go and he can finally be at peace.”
She had told her father they would go to watch that game one day, and that she graduated and has found love too.
She also told him that she was afraid to walk down the aisle alone because he won’t be there and everything that she could have possibly shared with him while he was alive.
One day she received a text from her father that said “Hi, I am Brad and I lost my daughter in 2014 in a car accident. I have been receiving all your text for the past 4 years and let me tell you, your father must be so proud of you. God bless you.”
