The teen who was covered in juice on her prom night because of a bully had the triumphant laugh after she was picked to model in a stunning fashion shoot.
16-year-old Emilee Perry was alone at the prom when she suddenly felt liquid gushing over her and her beautiful dress.
Two months after the incident, she was invited to model prom dresses by a fashion company that learned of her ordeal.
“I was a bit nervous coming down here with my anxiety, but I’ve always wanted to do it,” Emilee expressed.
But during that night, Emilee saw a girl she considered a friend walking away as many other students watched on in shock.
Heartbroken Emilee called her mother, Tracy, to pick her up as her prom dress was ruined.
“I didn’t even know she was behind me, she crept up on me. Nothing was ever said, I just looked up and saw the girl walking away.
“I thought we were friends, that’s why it was such a shock, we had taken a picture together that night. I still have no idea whatsoever why she did it.
“It was so humiliating. It was in front of my whole year group.”
Tracy shared photos of her daughter and their story quickly went viral.
The teen was too frightened to leave the house and also scared to go out with her friends. But two months later, company owner Kelly Nicholls called Emilee after seeing her mother’s post.
Kelly, hairdresser and make-up artist Lisa Higgs, and photographer Kerry Green treated Emilee to a day of stunning photoshoots.
She had her hair styling, makeup and dresses provided for free at Seven Hotel.
“It’s been really lovely, and Kelly has really helped me feel comfortable and has encouraged me to push myself and try different things,” Emilee said.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do this. I’d say to anyone struggling with anxiety and confidence to just speak to people, as no one will think any less of you.”
