A young girl took her own life and left behind a heartbreaking note after being unable to make new friends due to her school’s closure because of the pandemic.
The upsetting incident occurred in Baraboo, Wisconsin, where 10-year-old Kodie B. Dutcher had left behind a suicide note before leaving her mum’s apartment together with prescription pills.
According to the reports, the young girl hadn’t been seen since Monday afternoon until her body was discovered by in a farm field by the locals on the following day.
On Monday, at around 4 pm and just moments before taking off, Kodie had a video call with her mum during which the two talked about her upcoming school trip.
Just half an hour later, the mother allegedly returned home only for her daughter to be seen nowhere. In addition, the mum discovered a heartbreaking suicide note that read: “Mom, I love you, but I can’t do it. Bye.”
On the following morning, Kodie was discovered lifeless in a field located some 800 feet from her mother’s apartment where she was last seen.
According to the reports, the authorities couldn’t confirm whether Kodie’s death was a result of consuming prescription pills.
As the police added, the 10-year-old and her mum moved to their Baraboo apartment back in April whereas the young girl was allegedly upset about not being able to make any friends following her school’s closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
