A 9-year-old girl has won $1 million in a lottery in Dubai only 6 years after she won a $260,000 McLaren Coupe in the same competition.
Her latest winning was purchased by her father, known only as Mr. M by Dubai Duty-Free lottery officials after the draw at the International Airport of Dubai on Tuesday.
Eliza was only three years old when she won a McLaren sports car in 2013. Her father said he purchased another ticket for her daughter when she turned 9 believing it is a lucky number.
And they were lucky indeed. Six years after winning a supercar, the girl won $1 million!
The girl’s parents are Indian expats who have been staying in the UAE for almost 20 years. Her father said he had been purchasing lotto tickets since 2004.
The father also told the Khaleej Times: “I’ve been buying tickets for $1 million promotions since Series 43, and in fact, I have kept that ticket all this time.
“I never missed buying a ticket for every series including the Double and Multi-Millionaire Promotions.
“I have been making plans since Series 43 but since luck had yet to come I said to myself to continue my life as it is, and then this thing happened today.
“Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free, finally, my perseverance has paid off.”
Aside from Eliza, two other players won luxury Indian Scout Bobber motorcycles. Another winner also claimed a BMW S1000RR bike.
