Man ‘Horrified’ After Girlfriend Moves Into His Home And Brings Her Pet Spider With Her


A man was left “horrified” after his girlfriend brought her pet spider with her when she moved in with him.

As a woman from Victoria, Australia, revealed, she became very attached to her house spider that was living on her window sill. After caring for the animal for one year, she knew there was no chance of leaving the spider behind when the time came for her to move in with her boyfriend.

“When I moved into my partner’s I told him I was bringing my spider,” she wrote.

“I scooped her into a container with her little vegetable boxes and plonked her on the window here. He just couldn’t believe it.”

While the boyfriend couldn’t help but feel horrified at first, his love for his girlfriend endured and he eventually grew closer and closer to the spider.

One year after the girl and her spider had moved in, the man has developed a special love for the critter, whereas he now spends his free time catching flies for the spider.

“This is a story of what true love can achieve,” the girlfriend added as she revealed her partner is now amazed by the spider and its webs.

Soon enough, the woman’s post went viral, and people were quick to open up about their own experiences with spiders.

“I’ve become attached to my house spiders as well, they are an essential part of our household, so I can see why you wanted to bring her along,” one netizen said.

“This is so sweet. I don’t think they live a terribly long time, but how amazing you’ve had this relationship with a creature so many others are scared of,” another added.

One person recalled: “We had one on our window sill in the laundry. We named her Rowena and she lived for just under four years. We gave her flies a couple times a week and sprayed her web with water on hot summer days.”
