Even though the novel coronavirus is wreaking serious havoc all over the world, the internet still provides us with our daily dose of surprises and adorable things.
We can see people sharing the utterly wholesome things they experience. One such adorable instance was recently documented by kids’ writer, musician, and teacher Bret Turner on Twitter.
Bret posted a thread that told how his daughter and her friend yelled compliments at strangers passing by, all while sitting six feet apart because of social distancing.
Bret is known for sharing adorable content on his social media accounts. He posts the daily remarks he gets from children on his Twitter account and uses Instagram to share songs for kids.
However, the latest thread he posted on Twitter about his daughter and her friend is the most hilarious thing Bret has ever posted online.
Bret’s five-year-old girl and her friend from the neighborhood came up with the adorable idea of giving compliments to the strangers passing through the street just to kill time during the lockdown.
To ensure the strangers do hear them, the girls decided to yell their complements on some not-so-nice volumes.
However, conscious of the social distancing measures, the two girls sat 6 feet apart on the sidewalk outside Bret’s house.
They simply sat there and shouted good words to people at the best of their lungs.
Bret’s tweet read: “My daughter and her neighbor friend spend a lot of the day 6 feet away from the sidewalk, shouting compliments out at strangers who walk by.
“It’s the right mood for these times. Just overheard: ‘Your shirt matches your dog and I Like that about you.’”
He added: “I don’t know if you have hair under your hat but if you do it’s beautiful.”
“You should wear those shoes every day because they make your eyes shine like the sun. Oh and maybe my favorite, ‘Your dog’s face is almost as cute as my face from when I was a baby.’”
On being asked by a stranger why she was not at school, Bret’s daughter told them she goes to school on a computer now.
