Mountain goats have been spotted forming an orderly queue outside a barbershop in an empty town during the lockdown.
The shaggy-haired goats waited outside Just Jents barbershop in Llandudno, Wales without knowing hairdressers in the town are not set to reopen until next week.
It was 58-year-old Brian Lane who saw the hilarious scene and took a photo of the mountain goats.
“I had parked up to go for a little walk. It was tipping down with rain when I saw these goats under the shelter by the hairdressers,” the father-of-three said.
“I just realised how they were standing. The one sitting in the front waiting to go in and the other three spaced out behind.”
Mr. Lane added: “Waiting for the barbers to open, or the baa baas, it just seemed to fit a moment.”
The mountain goats live on the Great Orme country park but because of Covid-19 lockdown, the animals have started to explore through the empty streets.
“They were presented to us by Queen Victoria as a gift. They are Kashmiri goats. There is quite a population at the moment,” Mr. Lane said. “The Royal Welsh Fusiliers always take one as a regimental mascot.
“They come into town but mainly on the shore where it is quieter. Once lockdown started they came down to the centre of town.”
One internet user commented: “I recognise the shop, they don’t let the goats in anymore , they run off without paying for their haircuts, they Have Mancunian accents.”
Another wrote: “They’re just waiting for their husbands to come out of the barbers, nothing to see here.”
A third added: “Thanks for a much needed laugh between all the doom and gloom stories about.”
