How often do you have an encounter with a rare giraffe? The answer is not ever because they are rare to find and the hardest to catch.
This big boy who was wandering around in the park got itself in a bit of a tricky situation. The giraffe you can see in the video got itself strangled in wire and then panicked and then got in a struggle to get free from the strangulation.
The incident happened in an African reserve located in Lubumbashi, the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Giraffe is a huge and majestic animal that is very hard to catch. They are beautiful, graceful, serene, and absolutely unique because no other creature has such a magical and long neck.
To save the giraffe from panic and strangulation, 12 rescue men had to come to take the situation under control. They shot the giraffe with a tranquilizer and then it took 12 men to take the giraffe down on the floor so that it can rest and the rescuers can get it free.
It is risky and needs the strength of several men and this is what happened here.
Neil Parsons, who was the leader of this rescue mission, said that although giraffe is very hard to catch, they are not so hard to tranquilize. But even after tranquilizing them for once, to subdue a giraffe again is equally difficult.
If humans would not have intervened in the situation, the iron wire would have cut through the neck of this giraffe and killed it eventually.
This is not yet know how did the giraffe got strangled in the wire of the game reserve but thankfully the humans found it before it was too late and were able to save the big boy.
