Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was recently spotted appearing anything but Ramsay.
The 53-year-old dressed up as a woman, wearing a blonde wig and makeup, going undercover for the shooting of his US TV show Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell and Back.
In the photos from the most recent episode of the TV show, Ramsay can be seen interacting with oblivious restaurant customers disguised as his character of Libby Lou.
He then removed his wig, shortly after, revealing his actual identity.
In this latest episode, Ramsay changes his identity and mixes with a female-only book club to dine in at Southern Village, a restaurant on the brink of bankruptcy, situated in Richmond, Virginia.
Ramsay discovers a tight-knit family is about to be torn apart because of the financial strain their business is facing, so his job is to restore this failing restaurant back to a profitable establishment in a mere 24 hours’ time.
He told his viewers: “Trust me, this is a bit of a page turner.”
In the TV show, Ramsay restores eateries about to collapse. In addition to it, he also takes part in some other shows on TV and does similar things.
These shows include Hotel Hell and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.
Ramsay is also planning to start The Gordon Ramsay Academy – a setup meant to produce online cooking courses to compete with Jaime Oliver, the 43-year-old celebrity chef who is running a similar cooking school.
Ramsay and Oliver are already in a competition to make their impression on the TV market and it is hard to decide who has a lead. Both the men are married and each of the two has five children.
Ramsay and Tana are married for 24 years now and had their last baby, Oscar, just 10 months back. They also share 22-year-old Megan, 20-year-old twins, Jack and Holly, and 18-year-old Matilda.
Recently, Ramsay admitted “dropping to the floor and blacking out” at the birth of Oscar as it was the first time he witnessed a childbirth live.
The 53-year-old TV Chef said: “Tana didn’t want to see me there for previous births, she said, “I don’t want you to see me in this state so get out.”
“This time around, I was there and I absolutely cr**ped my pants. I fainted. I literally dropped on the floor.
“I was sat there and Oscar popped out through the sunroof and then they sort of throw you on him and he’s screaming and I fell back, the nurse grabbed me.”
Ramsay added that he opted to have a relaxing soundtrack in the labor room at the time of Oscar’s birth to create a “chilled” atmosphere and that, apparently, did not work out quite well.
