According to TMZ, the manager of 40-year-old Tessica Brown, who went viral after revealing her hair had been stuck in place for more than one month after using Gorilla Glue to set her hair, confirmed that the mother-of-five decided to give $20,000 to Restore Foundation.

While the mom, who recently underwent a four-hour procedure to free her hair and scalp of glue, raised over $23K for potential medical expenses and a wig, she will be donating the majority of it to the charity specializing in reconstructive surgeries.

The mom’s decision follows shortly after she underwent a $12,500 procedure for free thanks to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr Michael Obeng.

According to the Louisiana woman’s representative, Brown will only keep a small amount of donated funds to pay for her trip to Los Angeles and her earlier visit to the ER. As the doctor managed to save the 40-year-old’s remaining hair, the Gorilla Glue Girl will not need a wig.

“Words cannot even explain how I feel about @drmichaelkobeng you really gave me my life back and I am forever grateful,” the mother wrote in an Instagram post as she thanked her rescuer.

After more than one month of worries, Brown’s hair was finally set free after Dr Obeng applied a custom-made dissolver to tackle the hardened glue on top of the mother’s head in a four-hour procedure.

“I looked up the compound, the main active ingredient in Gorilla Glue: polyurethane. Then we figured out the science, how to break it down,” the plastic surgeon told TMZ.

“We bought chemicals that have components to dissolve the solvent, we used medical-grade adhesive remover that we use in the operating room.

“Then we have another active ingredient, MGD. We added MGD to it – which is an aloe vera and olive oil mixture. Then we added a little acetone.”
