A foul-mouthed grandmother ruined a gender reveal after she found out that it was a girl.
33-year-old Carrie-Anne Sanca decided to tell her 76-year-old grandmother Margaret that she was expecting a baby girl. She filled a balloon with pink confetti to tell her grandmother that it was a girl.
Little did she know, her grandmother was not expecting the child to be a girl.
Carrie gave the balloon to her grandmother Margaret during the gender reveal and when Margaret burst the balloon with a pin and saw the pink confetti.
She said: ‘Split ar**… it’s a ‘f**king girl’… ‘girls are b**ches’.
Margaret, who has nine children, 23 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren, was clearly disappointed as she wanted a boy.
Carrie later said: “When she swore in the video I just said ‘mam’. I don’t think she realised she was swearing – it just came out naturally. That’s just her. I didn’t expect a reaction like that to be honest. I wanted to share with her what I was having and the excitement of knowing.”
“She really wanted a boy you see. I think she was just a bit disappointed at the time. But after that, she just got over it and said ‘well, as long as it’s lovely it doesn’t matter.’”
The family shared the video of the grandmother online and it instantly went viral. Some found it funny while some criticized the grandmother for ruining the gender reveal.
One user wrote: ‘This grandma is so cute and funny I want her to be my Grandma’ while another user added: ‘What a cow. As long as they are healthy. Doesn’t matter.’
Well, her reaction is funny but we totally agree that she spoiled the gender reveal.
