An 82-year-old strong grandmother has gone viral after revealing she had beaten up a 28-year-old male home burglar using a table.
Willie Murphy is a 5-foot senior who proves that looks can be deceiving. Despite her tiny size and the fact that she’s 82 years old, Willie is a bodybuilder who frequently rocks weights at the gym and can deadlift as much as 225 pounds.
One day, a burglar broke into her New York home at 11 pm only for Willie to beat him up with her table.
According to the senior, the thief tried to convince her to let him in and claimed he was feeling sick before forcing his way in.
That’s when Willie had enough and decided to crack a table on his head. In addition, she also smothered him with shampoo and spanked him with a broomstick.
“I’m alone and I’m old, but guess what? I’m tough,” she said in an interview taken after the burglar was taken into hospital in an ambulance.
Recalling the incident in an interview with Fox News, the 82-year-old said:
“I hear a loud noise. I’m thinking, what the heck was that? The young man is in my home. He broke the door. I picked up the table, and I went to work on him. The table broke.
“And when he’s down. I’m jumping on him. I grabbed the shampoo. Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing. I got the broom. He’s pulling the broom.
“I’m hitting him with the broom. He picked the wrong house to break into.”
After the police arrived at the scene, first responders asked to take a picture with the grandmother who was able to repel a young thief all on her own.
Willie was also greeted as a hero upon her return to the gym where she trains regularly.
