With the fear of widespread of coronavirus, the world is getting ready to protect itself.
People around the world are skipping out on social gatherings as well as walking out in public places. It is extremely important to take care of the cleanliness around you.
With the fear of coronavirus, the Great Mosque of Mecca has been closed down on Thursday and disinfected workers cleaned the entire place.
The photos and the videos that came out of the mosque showed how Kaaba, the holiest Islamic site, that is filled with hundreds and thousands of people all the time of year, was entirely deserted except the disinfectant workers.
The mosque was deserted following the announcement by the government as they closed down all the religious places with the fear of coronavirus followed by banning foreigners from coming in first.
The mosque is never empty throughout the year and this is why this is extremely astounding after the massive lockdown in China.
Saudi Arabia has now seen 5 positive cases of Coronavirus. All of the 5 people tested positive had returned from Iran. Iran is the place with the maximum outbreak in the middle east.
At first, the risk of the virus was dismissed by the people of Iran but after the outbreak, most of the major cities had the prayers canceled on Friday.
The protective measure came after military troops were set out with alerts, a mass cleaning of holy places was conducted, and about 54,000 prisoners were released after they were tested negative, and travel between major cities was completely shut off.
The government is now trying to take as many measures as it can. They have also asked to stop or minimize the use of paper money.
Holy places like mosques and churches were closed down in several other countries too.
