After finally returning to her native Sweden, young climate change activist Greta Thunberg has celebrated her return with a picture with her dogs.

Grinning from ear to ear, the eco-warrior appeared in high spirits as she posed for a photo with Roxy and Moses by her side.

Allegedly, the two dogs and the girl’s family greeted the 16-year-old at Stockholm’s harbor upon her arrival in Sweden on December 17.

Thunberg had been on her way back home following her recent appearance at a climate summit in Madrid, Spain, and her speech in Turin, Italy.

On her way back, the teen had a minor setback as she clashed with a German rail operator after sharing a picture of herself sitting on the floor of an “overcrowded train.”

“Traveling on overcrowded trains through Germany. And I’m finally on my way home!” she captioned her photo that quickly went viral.

Following Greta’s remarks, Deutsche Bahn, the railway responsible for managing the train Greta was on, responded by explaining it would be nice of the teen to mention that she was moved to first class.

“Dear #Greta, thank you for supporting us railroad workers in the fight against climate change! We were pleased that you were on the ICE 74 with us on Saturday. And with 100 percent green electricity,” they wrote.

“It would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competent you were looked after by our team at your seat in first class.”

Clearly, the railway in question wasn’t happy with Greta’s decision to leave important parts of the story out of her tweet, prompting Thunberg to respond with the following message.

“Our train from Basel was taken out of traffic. So we sat on the floor on 2 different trains. After Göttingen I got a seat. This is no problem of course and I never said it was. Overcrowded trains is a great sign because it means the demand for train travel is high!”

Following Greta’s tweets, Deutsche Bahn has confirmed in a press release that they did everything in their power to accommodate Greta and that she and her team “were sitting in first class from Frankfurt onwards.”

Greta’s return home follows shortly after the girl announced she would be taking a break from traveling the world to raise awareness about climate change.
