An adventurous guinea pig had to be rescued from a sewer pipe after he hit a roadblock while on a journey.
Snowball escaped from his home in West Price Hill and got stuck in a sewer pipe.
The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati shared the adorable rescue mission on Twitter and wrote: “Snowball escaped from his W. Price Hill home & thought a sewer was a good place to hang out.”
The tweet added: “MSD’s Jeff Greene & Reggie Gray came to the rescue. When Snowball wouldn’t budge from the pipe, they used a basketball to nudge him out. Now Snowball needs a bath.”
Reggie Gray and Jeff Greene, the brave workers who rescued the thrill-seeking guinea pig after a frantic family called to report that Snowball had crawled into a sewer pipe, said the pet rodent was scared and shaking, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Sewer District said that Gray lowered Green into the sewer where he spotted Snowball.
MSD shared a video of the rescue mission on YouTube.
One Twitter user commented: “Thank you so much for helping the family and their pig!! The world would be much better off with more like you guys.”
Another wrote: “Well done to all involved on behalf of all guinea pig lovers.”
A third added: “Thank you for saving Snowball! I have two Guinea Pigs myself, they are such sweet little floof potatoes!”
