Legendary Guitarist Bob Kulick And The Mastermind Behind SpongeBob’s ‘Sweet Victory’ Died


Bob Kulick, the guitarist best known for his contributions to four KISS albums and a hit song in SpongeBob SquarePants, died at the age of 70.

The death of the legendary musician was announced by the man’s brother, Bruce, who took to Twitter to pay a tribute to the talented musician and producer.

“I am heartbroken to have to share the news of the passing of my brother Bob Kulick. His love of music, and his talent as a musician and producer should always be celebrated,” Bruce announced.

“I know he is at peace now, with my parents, playing his guitar as loud as possible. Please respect the Kulick Family’s privacy during this very sad time.”

While Bob failed to secure his role as the lead guitarist of KISS back in 1972, his brother Bruce held on to the spot from 1984 to 1996.

Meanwhile, Bob, though uncredited for it, spent his time working on four KISS albums.

Throughout his successful career, Bob managed to work with music legends such as Paul Stanley and Lou Reed whom he joined in the Coney Island Baby hit.

The guitarist was also known for his session work with the likes of Michael Bolton, Diana Ross, and W.A.S.P. He was also the mastermind behind the production of Motorhead’s rendition of Whiplash by Metallica that gained the rock band a Grammy Award.

One of Bob’s greatest achievements was also his engagement in SpongeBob SquarePants whereas he composed, produced, and performed the famous song ‘Sweet Victory.’
