Trent Gates, a 23-years-old young guy from Washington D.
C, chopped off his own testicles following a surgical procedure. In an interview, he told that he previously removed his penis in a similar surgery performed by himself eight months earlier in a motel room of North Carolina.
According to him he did all this to get rid of the severe depression he was facing from months and he has always felt confused in his gender. He has always felt himself an androgynous, who is a female or a male who has both masculine and feminine traits. He considered himself as a non-binary person who is attracted to men.
Gates performed this surgical procedure to become a “nullo” after being inspired by another “smoothie”- a person who undergoes an extreme surgical procedure of removing his sexual organs.point 300 |

Gates consider his surgery as a non-painful one as he used a numbing agent too and also a little bit of lidocaine on it. He said that it took around one week to heal up his wounds, but earlier when he had his penis chopped off, it took approximately three weeks to cure.
Gates had no regrets of performing this surgery and becoming a “nullo” and it has improved his crippling depression too. Also, he told while an interview that he is experiencing a better sex life after his decision and that his boyfriend has no issues with his modified body. Although his mother had a big issue putting his cut out penis in a family freezer so she threw it out.
