Ludwik The Hairless Guinea Pig Turned From Homeless To Celebrity By Posing With His Favorite Foods

Guinea pigs are known to make good pets despite not looking particularly adorable like puppies and kittens, for example.

Nevertheless, one hairless guinea pig managed to break this thought by becoming an Instagram celebrity with over 275,000 loyal followers.

Ludwik the Guinea pig wasn’t always a celebrity. He was an abandoned pet whom nobody wanted until Agata Nowacka adopted him and took him to her home in Warsaw, Poland.

“Hi, my name is Ludwik. My life is a real ‘from zero to hero’ story. From abandon pet to Instagram celebrity in less than a year. This is my life,” Ludwik’s Facebook page reads.

The handsome hairless pet went viral after Agata started posting pictures of him posing with his favorite foods.

“He seems to enjoy his photo session, and sometimes he even falls asleep, so I think he feels very comfortable,” she admitted in an interview with The Dodo.

“What is funny about Ludwik is the fact that he can fall asleep even during his vet’s appointment. He could sleep all the time. He could spend most of his day in his blue polar blanket on my lap.”

As the proud owner added, Ludwik was in critical condition when she found him in a “bad” pet store. Selflessly, she took the pet with her and had him treated for pneumonia, conjunctivitis, and an infection.

“When I first saw him at that pet store he was so poor and so skinny. He didn’t look like chubby Ludwik from Instagram photos,” Agata added.
