We all know what comes with the festive season.
Yea, you guessed it right, shopping or should I say lots and lots of shopping. But at this moment the shopping rush is over, there was a time you could go the store, or the mere thought of going to a store gave you shivers because of the long queues but not anymore.
Now it is time to stress whether Christmas morning turned out exactly as we wanted it to be when we were shopping for the Christmas gift. Did everyone like what they were bought among many other things including the dinner.
Even though the festive season is not about gifts but rather than the family coming together and having a good time gifts are considered a very important part and most of us will feel guilty if the gifts we bought don’t bring happiness to someone else.
Which is totally normal because as human beings we constantly have the urge to please those we truly love. Their happiness is always our priority.
Now that you know what kind of pressure one is under when shopping for gifts, now imagine shopping for someone truly remarkable, like the queen.
The thought of that alone is enough to send shivers down your body, and the pressure one must be under don’t even get me started on that. As scary as the thought might be let me tell you that there is someone that has to do this in real life.
As you can recall, in 2011, the world was brought to a standstill on 29th April when the royal family welcomed a new woman into their family.
Prince William had come of age and he married a commoner, Kate Middleton. And the wedding was grand I can tell you that. In fact, when I say that the world was brought to a standstill I mean it literally. The wedding took place at Westminster Abbey in London, United Kingdom.
The two had been dating since 2003.The wedding was attended by diplomats, members of foreign royal dynasties and a few chosen guests.
The wedding brought a new and fresh element to the royal family. For the Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen this meant that she was not only a leader but also a grandmother and now she would have family members to spend Christmas with.
Now here comes the most puzzling part for Kate Middleton, what do you get a person who has everything? You cannot get her any jewelry or clothes because she has closets full of this. This can give someone quite a headache but not our dear Kate she knew the perfect gift to get her new grandmother.
Kate explained to Harper’s Bazaar UK, that it was quit challenging deciding what to get the queen, but then she had a perfect idea. She would make something for her, but this was so risky because something would have gone horribly wrong.
Kate chose to make marrow chutney using her grandmother’s recipe and thankfully nothing went wrong.
This is the most amazing gift, nothing you buy with money can ever come close to something that you have prepared yourself. This was so thoughtful on her part.
Now the big question am sure you must be asking yourself is whether the queen liked it. Kate went on to say that the chutney made a prompt appearance on the queen’s breakfast table. And the word is that it was eaten, shared and truly enjoyed. love and admiration you feel for someone
One would have thought that because it was supposed to be the queen’s gift it should have been something elegant and expensive most probably diamonds but sometimes the simplest things and the little things are the ones that goes a long way to show the level rather than something expensive which does not even have any emotions attached to it.
What a perfect gift this was for someone who already owns all the best jewels in the world. We hope that the newest member of the royal family, Meghan Markle has learned something from what Kate Middleton did.
Sometimes things that are handmade make the best gifts ever because it shows that this person took time of their schedule to make the particular thing.
