This thrilling performance of a professional performer, who hiked to the edge of a cliff, was recorded byEskilRønningsbakken at Rampestreken viewpoint in Åndalsnes, Norway on his fortieth birthday, June 24. What makes this performance dangerous is the height of the cliff, more than 1300ft.
It is one of the highest handstands ever on top of a cliff by any balance performer. The moments captured in the camera are breath-taking, as you can clearly see how dangerous it could be to perform on spot like this. Moreover, the mesmerizing beauty of the place is also satisfying. Eskil almost traveled 1.7Km to reach to the destination, the viewpoint was 400 meters high, from where incredible Norwegian scenery can be enjoyed.
The spectacular stunt was full of danger for any unprofessional and untrained individual, but for Eskil, such performances are normal.
He took his handstand on balance performance on the top of a high cliff to the next level, as he constructed a ladder that would be the point that he would commit to the handstand on. According to Eskil, “I went to Ramperstreken and hiked the 1.
7Km up to the viewpoint, having the pleasure to balance on the top of the ladder”.
It was definitely a pleasure for Eskil to be part of something beautiful like this. The precision and accuracy of his performance at such height are appreciable.
He, himself, even has no words to describe his feeling during this stunt. This perfect handstand was executed with incredible strength, as there was simply no room for mistakes. Eskil said, “You do not see much of the view while balancing since it is simply room for surviving, but before and after I do look at nature and enjoy it a lot”.
Eskil’s stunt on the top of a cliff is really amazing. Not only his performance but also the mesmerizing scenery around him, is blowing our mind. The skills he has, professional attitude and calmness of mind, altogether make this look perfect.
