Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced something big, something that we all had been waiting for.
And guess what, they are expecting a baby near soon. <3 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed this exciting news last week and everyone around the world already started sending their loves and wishes to the Royal family.
The Palace announced this news on twitter saying “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
But there is one thing that most of the people didn’t notice. Prince Harry and Meghan’s baby won’t be given the title of a prince or princess. There are some rules set by Harry’s great great grandfather, King George V, Prince Hary’s son won’t be called a Prince.
Here is what the declaration says, “The grandchildren of the sons of any such Sovereign in the direct male line (save only the eldest living son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales) shall have and enjoy in all occasions the style and title enjoyed by the children of Dukes of these Our Realms.”
In other words, Prince Harry’s kids will be great-grandchild of the Queen and will be too far down the line of succession to be given the title.
But still there is one hope – Queen has the authority to change the rule :) She did that with the Prince William’s children ahead of Prince George’s birth.
Let’s see what the Queen has in her mind and if the kids will be given the titles just like Prince William’s kids or not.
