Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are officially no longer royals following a successful Megxit, have reportedly viewed a $20million California mansion located in a star-studded area.
Shortly after announcing they were leaving the royal family and giving up their royal duties, Meghan and Harry revealed they were leaving Canada to start a new life in the U.S.
Recently, they were allegedly also spotted scouting the prestigious property that boasts of an 8-bedroom Tuscan-style mansion, a swimming pool, and a private tennis court.
According to Paul Burrell, a former royal butler, the same mansion previously sparked an interest in Princess Diana who was planning to make a move to Malibu with Dodi Fayed prior to her tragic death.
Before leaving the UK and starting their new lives in California, the formerly-royal couple lived at their $10 million luxury Vancouver Island home for three months.
According to a source obtained by The Sun, however, the couple wanted to get closer to “their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs” as they are working on plans to become financially independent.
While Stuart Heller of the Stay Awhile Villas didn’t confirm whether Harry and Meghan chose the mansion to be their new home, he admitted that his business “is often contacted by high profile families seeking to test neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles before making any move permanent.”
“This is the perfect property for anyone wanting to move to the area and Harry and Meghan will want to see if Malibu suits their lifestyle,” Mr. Heller said.
“The house is a short term rental, many people come to Malibu looking for a home and they will rent somewhere first to see if it makes sense for them and their family.”
