Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could take home a shiny gong after the two-hour Oprah with Meghan & Harry: A CBS Primetime Special.
The explosive interview, which was aired in March, sent shockwaves around the world when the couple made claims about their lives as working Royals.
Meghan and Harry accused a member of the Royal Family of racism, suggesting the person had asked ‘how dark’ their son Archie’s skin would be.
They also accused the Firm of failing to support the Duchess of Sussex who was suicidal during her pregnancy.
Harry also said that his family had completely cut him off financially, suggesting the Queen, his grandmother, had been advised to cancel their scheduled meeting at Sandringham.
Meghan also claimed that her sister-in-law Kate Middleton made her cry, suggesting senior royals wanted to make sure Archie would never have a title or enough security.
It was confirmed that the Oprah interview is nominated in the ‘Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series Or Special category.’
The winners will be announced at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards in September, with the Sussexes up against ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman’ and ‘Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy.’
This comes after royal historian Robert Lacey claimed Prince Harry is ready to admit he has made mistakes and Prince William believes he has done nothing wrong.
The brothers have been separated by a rift that started in March 2019 when the Duke of Cambridge reportedly threw the Sussexes out of Kensington Palace over the alleged mistreatment of royal staff.
Mr. Lacey told Newsweek that he believes Harry is the only one who may be ready to admit mistakes.
