Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal exit will be featured in a Lifetime movie that is set to air later this year.
As Lifetime insisted, the ‘Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace’ will offer a fictionalized account of what happened in the Palace and what drove the two royals to quit their duties and leave the UK.
It is believed that the producers will draw inspiration from Meghan and Harry’s bombshell CBS interview with Oprah in which they accused an unnamed Royal of racism and alleged that Palace didn’t do enough to help Meghan with her mental health struggles.
The production of the movie is set to kick off this spring, whereas the casting is reportedly still underway.
In the expected blockbuster, as reported by Deadline, the producers will focus on presenting mental health issues and struggles that Meghan was facing during her time in the UK. The movie will also feature the couple’s disappointment over The Firm and their failure to protect them from harsh British tabloids.
Besides family feuds between Meghan and Harry and other senior Royals, including Kate Middleton and Prince William, the movie is expected to show what exactly drove the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to the decision to leave the Royal Family for good.
The movie, which is executive produced by Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss, will follow two Lifetime movies about Harry and Meghan.
The first movie, titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, featured the beginnings of Meghan and Harry’s relationship and their love story.
The second movie, called Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, showed the couple as they embarked on challenges and joys that came along with their Royal duties.
