Windsor Castle staffs have been banned from parking their cars at the car park located between the Castle and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s estate.
Instead, the staffs working for the royal couple now have to park their vehicles at the new car park that is located over a mile away from Meghan and Harry’s new home.
According to the insider, Harry and Meghan are now being referred to as NIMBYs – ‘Not in Meghan’s Back Yard,’ due to the ban making it out in the public.
Despite the fact that the car park located next to the Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan’s new home, was being used by staffs for many years, they have now been ‘banished’ to the King Edward VII public car park.
While several permits for parking at the old spot have been issued, some of the staff members will now be forced to take a long walk on a daily basis.
“The fear is that soon we will be told we can’t play cricket or bowls either and the clubs will die out – it’s outrageous,” one source said in an interview with The Sun.
“To say we’re upset and annoyed is a massive understatement,” another one admitted.
“We can only assume that Harry and Meghan don’t want to look out of their window and see cars coming and going and members of staff walking into the club.”
While a senior source at Windsor confirmed this ban, they claimed that the decision had nothing to do with either Prince Harry or Meghan Markle. According to the source, the decision was taken solely by the castle’s superintendent.
