Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said they will only have two children to help save the planet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in an interview with environmental activist Jade Goodall that they’ve decided to only have two kids to slow down climate change.
Prince Harry said fatherhood has made him more aware of the environment. “It does make it different,” the Duke said, adding that he has “always had a connection and a love for nature” and has “always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child hoping to have children.”
According to the New York Daily News, Harry said: “Two maximum! But I’ve always thought: this place is borrowed. And, surely, being as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.”
Pouring on the alarmism, Goodall replied: “But, in fact, we’ve stolen their future. Not all of it. But we’ve got to try and pay a little of it back. And get together to try and heal some of the harm, and at least slow down climate change.”
The guest-edited issue features “15 influential women” including former First Lady Michelle Obama, Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Arden, and teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.
In February, Democratic socialist Rep.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in an Instagram Live video that having children today is morally ambiguous. “Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around and so it’s basically like, there’s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” she expressed.“And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, ‘Is it okay to still have children?”
Ocasio-Cortez added: “Like, we need a universal sense of urgency, and people are like trying to introduce watered-down proposals that are frankly going to kill us. A lack of urgency is going to kill us.”
