It is not clear whether Meghan and Harry are renting Perry’s estate or staying there as guests but there’s no record of the property having been sold.

An insider told the news outlet: “Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious to keep their base in LA under wraps. Their team helped them choose the location for their transition to Los Angeles wisely.

The source added: “Beverly Ridge is an excellent place to keep out of view. The neighbors are mostly old money and mega rich business types rather than show business gossips.

American actor and producer Perry, who is worth $600million, custom-built the mansion from scratch after purchasing the property for $4million way back in 2004.

It is not clear whether he has met the Duke and Duchess but he expressed sympathy for Meghan after she said in an interview with ITV that she was struggling in the spotlight.

“Remember when Meghan Markle did that interview? She said: ‘Thanks for asking if I’m OK. Because no one ever asks me that’. I felt her when she said that,” Perry said. “I felt her when she said that. People toss it out. ”How are you doing?” But not many people really mean it. Or pay attention to the answer.”
