The Royal rift that shocked the world between Princes Harry and William has been rumbling on for some time now, The Sun reports.

Prince Harry, who will turn 37 soon, was aware of what his future would be like from a much younger age.

Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe recalled an argument that he heard between the two princes when they were young.

Prince Harry, who is now married to Meghan Markle, made a shocking outburst to his older brother Prince William, now married to Kate Middleton, when he was just four years old.

Wharfe said that the argument happened as the young brothers traveled from London to Gloucester for a weekend away.

“Diana would always take the two boys to Highgrove in Gloucestershire,” Wharfe told Channel 5 documentary, Prince Harry: The Troubled Prince. “On this particular occasion Diana was driving, I was sat in the front, William and Harry in the back.”

“They’d clearly got off to a bad start because they were arguing before we’d even left,” Wharfe continued. “Harry out of nowhere said: ‘William, one day you’ll be king, I won’t, it doesn’t matter therefore I can do what I like’.”

Wharfe recalled that even the late Princess Diana was “stunned” by Harry’s remark, and asked her younger son where he had got it from.

Both princes were last seen together at the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue in the summer.

Despite the mini-reunion, Royal author Omid Scobie claims that this didn’t mean they had reconciled.

“I think one thing I really wanted to give in this update was a positive update on the family fractures and how they’ve mended,” Scobie said earlier this month. “Unfortunately, that hasn’t really happened.”

“I think a lot of that is down to do with the pandemic,” Scobie added. “None of us have been going anywhere and Harry and Meghan live almost 4,000 miles away.”

“Everyone involved has made sure that the focus remains on that and nothing else, so there hasn’t really been that opportunity to sit down,” Scobie said, referring to Harry and William’s united displays at both the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue.

Meanwhile, in an interview on This Morning, Scobie said that the “family fractures” were far from fixed.

“I wish there was a, you know, we have all experienced family squabbles and so on, but there is always a senior member of the family who clips you round the ear and pulls you all together and says talk!” he said,

“And I haven’t heard that from any source connected to the family that there has been someone who has played that role,” Scobie added. “I’m sure if Diana was here today, that’s exactly what she would do. But I’ve certainly not heard that from any of the others.”
