Harry Styles has four nipples and his fans will be thrilled to know the reason why.
If you’re familiar with One Direction and Harry Styles, you probably know that the singer, unlike most people, has four nipples instead of just two.
The 27-year-old songwriter previously confirmed the allegations saying he has extra nipples in one of his interviews back in 2017.
When asked about the rumors during his press tour, the ‘Sing of the Times’ hitmaker told Chelsea Handler that he indeed has two extra nipples before pointing out their location.
Confirming the rumors are also photos in which Styles is seen shirtless with two small nipples located in the area between his primary nipples and his abs.
While many people have found the revelation shocking, doctors have explained how extra nipples form as they insisted polythelia isn’t as rare as some believe it to be.
“When the body develops, sometimes nipple forming cells accidentally migrate down the chest below the normal nipple,” NYC Board Certified Dermatologist Dr Joshua Zeichner said.
“Supernumerary nipples can develop anywhere on the chest, armpit, even belly or into the groin, along a vertical line below the nipple.”
As the specialist added, extra nipples are typically smaller and not fully formed. In some cases, however, they can develop into full-grown nipples with underlying breast tissue.
“The nipple is harmless and is more of a cosmetic issue than anything else. In some cases, where there is a more developed nipple with breast tissue, the tissue itself may become sensitive in women during the menstrual cycle or even produce milk after pregnancy,” Dr Zeichner explained.
Though his case is particularly interesting, the 27-year-old, who is currently staying in Hollywood Hills, is not the only celebrity to open up about polythelia.
Other famous people who happen to have an extra nipple include Zac Efron, Lily Allen, Mark Wahlberg, Tilda Swinton, Joanna Krupa, and Bill Paxton.
