Court documents revealed a chilling email written by Harvey Weinstein suggesting Friends star Jennifer Aniston be killed.
In an email dated October 31, 2017, the Hollywood producer wrote: “Jen Aniston should be killed.”
The Hollywood was reportedly responding to the National Enquirer about an allegation that the producer had groped the actress.
But Aniston said that the allegation is not true.
Variety explained: “In October 2017, the National Enquirer reached out for comment from Weinstein’s then-rep Sallie Hofmeister, a crisis management expert he had hired shortly after the reports of sexual harassment and assault broke in the New York Times and New Yorker in October 2017.”
A rep for Aniston, Stephen Huvane, said to Variety: “The National Enquirer claims are false. Jennifer has not been harassed or assaulted by Harvey.”
Weinstein was found guilty “of a first-degree criminal sex act and third-degree rape, but was acquitted on two counts of predatory sexual assault, the most serious charge,” the Daily Wire reported.
His legal team said in a letter: “He has lost his means to earn a living. Simply put, his fall from grace has been historic, perhaps unmatched in the age of social media.”
The team added: “The grave reality is that Mr. Weinstein may not even outlive that term.”
Harvey Weinstein was known for supporting liberal causes and donating to Democratic politicians.
Spokesperson Juda Engelmayer said that ‘miserable’ Weinstein suffered from a bad fall at Rikers Island. “He’s miserable but trying to be optimistic as best he can,” Engelmayer said, according to Page Six. “He has had a lot of time to think about his life and be humbled, but he thinks it’s going to be a long, uphill battle from here.”
The spokesman said to Page Six: “It’s a prison cell. It has a sink and toilet, all stainless steel and open.”
