For the diehard Game of Thrones fans located in different time zones than that of the US, watching the new episodes as soon as they’re released is a real struggle.
While viewers from some countries are lucky to watch the show at around midnight, some even have to stay awake till 4 am to watch a new episode just after it’s aired.
Needless to say, a coffee or two provides huge support to these devout fans of the HBO fantasy series.
Turns out, Daenerys Targaryen is herself a passionate coffee lover, as indicated by a latte cup placed in front of her in the most recent episode.
Here, we have pre-assumed that you’d have watched the fourth episode (otherwise you won’t be here).
So as you can recall, all the main characters of the series were seen enjoying themselves a lovely feast in the latest episode, aired this Sunday.
Well, they had every right to celebrate as they had just won the battle with the dead, thanks to Arya’s telling blow on the Night King which shattered him into tiny glass pieces.
While everyone was drinking wine, Dany was focused on keeping her wits about with a Starbucks’ takeaway coffee.
Yes, you heard that right. It was a latte, right in front of the Mother of Dragons.
Though it’s totally fine for someone to opt for a caffeinated drink instead of an alcoholic beverage, what makes it so wrong is the fact that we’re talking about Winterfell where there’s surely no Starbucks or any other similar outlet.
Naturally, the fans were mad at the show’s creators for leaving such a blunder.
Now, we know such things frequently happen on sets, as pointed out by the show’s art director Hauke Richter in a statement emailed to Variety, but this is Game of Thrones we’re talking about, not an ordinary TV show.

The fans, however, quickly calmed down after HBO took the mistake with good grace, adding a bit of humor.
The channel said in a press release: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
