Health officials confessed that they are not aware of the deaths of kids in Brit from the severe inflammatory syndrome, which is reckoned to be associated with coronavirus.
In fact, Matt Hancock has even admitted that many youngsters have died mysteriously without showing any underlying health conditions.
Doctors have also issued an alert about the growing number of infants being hospitalized with Kawasaki like diseases across the UK.
But as of now, officials have refused to declare the number of children affected by this disease. As per another report, there are about 20 children who have been exposed to this critical illness.
In fact, a kid was even put on life support after his lungs and heart were unable to function. This disease is primarily affecting children under five-years-old.
The mysterious illness somewhat resembles Kawasaki’s illness, where the blood vessels get inflamed and the patients experience toxic shock syndrome.
The latter is somewhat an overreaction by our immune system, which results in the body to attack its organ.
The Health Secretary was asked about the syndrome and confessed that he is extremely worried about the mysteriously emerging health issue.
Moreover, he was also asked about the number of children who have died due to coronavirus.
Initially, he said that all the deceased children suffered from underlying health conditions. But he backtracked when they asked about the inflammatory disease, which has put the entire nation on alert.
Later Hancock admitted that some children who had no underlying condition have also died due to COVID-19.
He also said that some of the children who were required intensive care due to inflammatory syndrome tested negative for the virus.
This has complicated the diagnosis even further, but Hancock assured that the health department is looking at the matter with utmost urgency. As of now, the officials are yet to clarify anything about this illness.
