While the term childbirth might appear daunting to so many people out there, this woman’s heartbreaking story just might bring you to the verge of tears.
According to recent media reports, one woman was forced to walk all the way to the hospital after her vehicle broke down in the middle of the road. The woman claimed that she had no other choice because the total costs of ambulance fees were just too much for her to pay.
The shocking story was shared via a video on TikTok and since then has reportedly become viral. Here is where a heavily pregnant Kelsie VanMeveren who also goes by the name Kelskiller, helplessly walks while groaning in intense pain, making her way down a dark road.
Surprisingly, many questioned the woman regarding the video and the actual person behind the lens. And that’s when it was revealed that it was her husband and probably the baby’s father. With more than 5.8 million views in no time, the heartbroken mother began to explain how her husband forgot to fill up the car’s gas tank.
In the viral video footage, her husband asks, ‘baby what are we doing?’ And that’s when the woman explains for viewers watching how their car broke down in the middle of the road, and the hospital was more than a mile away.
“We have no other choice but to walk as the costs relating to an ambulance would probably be $1000 and that’s way more than we can afford,” she helplessly explains.
Viewers were beyond amazed at the courage and stamina the woman displayed, stopping every once in a while to wail in pain. “My water has broken, my legs are wet, it’s so cold, how much further must we walk,” she continues to cry while looking at her husband.
The woman captioned the video with the hashtags ‘America is trash’ and even tagged the country’s helpless healthcare system because she feels there isn’t much hope left for needy citizens.
Since then, many have shared the heartbreaking video, asking higher authorities to take a look at what a sad state of affairs life can turn out to be for those who don’t possess travel insurance.
