Over one thousand mourners have gathered to pay their respects to Hannah Clarke and her three children who got burned to death by their evil father.
The touching vigil took place in Brisbane, Australia, days after Clarke’s abusive husband Rowan Baxter doused her and their three kids in petrol and set them on fire in their family car.
Paying a tribute to the family on Sunday were the mum’s father, Lloyd Clarke, mother, Suzanne, brother, Nat, and over one thousand family members, friends, relatives, and others affected by the disturbing suicide-murder case.
“We would have felt lost without all your support. I don’t know how we can repay such kindness,” tearful Mr. Clarke said in his speech while wearing a pink button shirt to commemorate his daughter’s favorite color.
“We may not know you all, but you embraced our family when our whole world collapsed and for that we are genuinely grateful.
“While dealing with this truly difficult time, my family and I are forever thankful to our neighbors and those who were first on the scene who tried to desperately help Hannah and the children.”
Comforting the devastated father was Nat who was struggling to hold back tears as his father was giving a speech.
“You selflessly and without hesitation did what you could to save them. I don’t know how we can repay such kindness, other than to say we will be eternally grateful. You have restored out faith that there are many good and decent people in the world,” Mr. Clarke went on to say.
After expressing that the death of Hannah and her kids represent the “hardest [time] of their life,” the heartbroken father has also recalled the joy the victims of the domestic abuse case brought to the world.
