A 6-year-old girl was riding her bicycle on a narrow path and saw a couple walking ahead of her with their dog.
To avoid collision and get space for passing the couple, repeated calls were made but the couple did not pay any heed and she fell off.
The moment was captured by the girl’s father in a video that showed the little girl riding the path while his father was shouting excuse me to the couple walking ahead. But the duo did not move and the little girl fell off her bike while she was trying to cycle through the space between them.
The girl can be heard crying loudly after that incident on Nottinghamshire’s Blackwell Trail before the dogwalker kicks the girl’s bike and walks off.
Michelle Prost, the girl’s mother, posted the footage on Facebook and received tons of messages of support. She later posted an update revealing she had reported the incident to the police.
Now, the police are keen to talk to anyone who might have witnessed what happened or recognized people in the footage.
In the footage, after the collision, the girl’s father confronts the man and shouts angrily that he had said excuse me numerous times before the 2 men row about what happened. You can also hear the girl crying and see the male kicking her bike and then walking away.
The mother noted that her daughter was traumatized by the incident and claimed that the man had retorted to foul language.
Her mother added in the post that the couple ignored her little daughter who was saying excuse me and ringing her bell. Even though the man looked at the girl cycling, he ignored her on purpose. The girl then rides into the duo in panic.
Ms. Prost added that her daughter is new to riding bikes and the incident has affected her. She also called the man awful and noted that the couple has issues with cyclists, and through the incident, one can clearly understand that.
